The common EU Regulation on drones, (EU) 2019/947, will become applicable on 31 December 2020. Until that date, drone and model aircraft pilots must register as users of an unmanned aircraft system. While the registration system has unfortunately been delayed, it is set to become available before the end of the year. Please keep an eye on this website for updates. Between now and December, we will also publish learning materials that remote pilots can use to prepare for an online exam. The exam will become available concurrently with the registration system. For more information on the various transitional periods on which the EU Regulation on drones contains provisions, see https://www.droneinfo.fi/en/eu_drone_regulations. Enquiries: rpas@traficom.fi
