Drone flying restrictions during the Kaivopuisto Air Show on 8 and 9 June 2017

6/8/17, 3:00 PM

The Finland 100 anniversary air show will be held at the seafront of Helsinki on 9 June 2017. To ensure aviation safety, the Finnish Transport Safety Agency Trafi has established a temporary restricted area over the seafront of Helsinki. Drone flying is forbidden in this area between 8 and 9 June 2017.

The temporary restricted area is extensive and covers the entire southern Helsinki and the sea area up to the Suomenlinna fortress island. Areas such as Kaivopuisto, Hernesaari, Katajanokka, Pihlajasaari and Suomenlinna are included in the restricted area. A map of the restricted area can be found on the www.droneinfo.fi website.
